Monica Bhula, OD, provides comprehensive eye care and fits contact lenses at Texas Vision in Cedar Park, Texas. She specializes in the management and treatment of ocular disease and pre- and post-operative care for cataract and refractive surgery patients.
Dr. Bhula is a member of the American Optometric Association and Texas Optometric Association. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of Mississippi. She is a graduate of the Southern College of Optometry and completed her residency in ocular disease at the Columbia VA Medical Center in Columbia, S.C.
Shelby Brogdon, OD, is a native Arkansan, practicing at McFarland Eye Care in Little Rock. Dr. Brogdon loves seeing patients of all ages and is passionate about leading her practice’s Dry Eye Clinic. She is an active member of the Arkansas Optometric Association where she serves on several committees and is a graduate of its LEADership program.
Dr. Brogdon graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word, Rosenberg School of Optometry.
Andrew Bruce, LDO, ABOM, NCLEM, FCLSA, is a licensed master optician and contact lens fitting specialist in Vancouver, Washington, and founder of ASB Opticianry Education Services. A speaker, industry consultant, technical writer, and CE author, he also serves as an adjunct instructor at Portland Community College for the Optician Assistant Training Program which he developed.
Mr. Bruce has served on the Washington State Dispensing Optician Examination Committee and the Board of Directors of The Contact Lens Society of America.
Jennifer Seymour Brusven, LDO, NCLE-AC, ABO-AC, AAS, is a Nevada Licensed Dispensing Optician, ABO-AC and NCLE-AC nationally certified. Her passion for fitting contact lenses came during her schooling for licensure, learning how contact lenses change patients’ lives. After several years with a major retail practice, she joined Yesnick Vision Center in Las Vegas, a clinic which specializes in low vision.
Ms. Brusven is also involved with Nevada’s optician regulatory board and state association. She was recently elected as secretary/treasurer of the Contact Lens Society of America and serves as the managing editor of CLSA’s Eyewitness Magazine. She earned her Associate’s Degree of Applied Science in Ophthalmic Technology/Ophthalmic Dispensing from the College of Southern Nevada.
Ariel Cerenzie, OD, FAAO, FSLS, founded Charlotte Contact Lens Institute in Charlotte, N.C. Her practice is dedicated to prescribing contact lenses of various modalities specific to patients’ needs, as well as myopia management and dry eye care. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and the Scleral Lens Education Society and is a member of the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control.
Dr. Cerenzie attended the University of Houston College of Optometry and completed a cornea and contact lens residency at the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry.
Angelica Cifuentes, OD, is the CEO and Co-Founder of Bye Dry Eyes and serves as Optometric Director at Blinking Owl Eyecare. Fluent in both Spanish and English, she effortlessly bridges language barriers to provide comprehensive care to diverse communities. As a mentor, Dr. Cifuentes is committed to educating the next generation of optometry students. She boasts a substantial following on Instagram and TikTok where she actively advocates for the profession.
Dr. Cifuentes is an active member of the American Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association, and Miami Dade Optometric Association, where she serves as a Junior Trustee Board member. Dr. Cifuentes is also a member of Tear Film and Ocular Surface Society, Latinos En Optometry, and Women in Eyecare. Dr. Cifuentes is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry.
Jade Coats, OD, FAAO, works at McDonald Eye Associates, an MD/OD practice in Fayetteville, Ark., and has dedicated the majority of her clinical practice to ocular disease, comprehensive eye care, perioperative care, and contact lenses. Dr. Coats publishes frequently and serves on the editorial advisory boards of Optometry Times and Presbyopia Physician. A graduate of the AOA Leadership Institute (1.0/2.0), she is also a board member of the Intrepid Eye Society, YoungODConnect, and Women in Optometry.
She is an active member of the American Optometric Association, the Arkansas Optometric Association, and the Arkansas Optometry Association AOP-PAC Committee. Dr. Coats attended the Southern College of Optometry.
Jason E. Compton, OD, FAAO, is a distinguished optometrist with expertise in clinical practice, academic instruction, and entrepreneurial initiatives. In addition to his responsibilities at Compton Eye Associates in the New York City area, Dr. Compton serves as adjunct faculty at SUNY State College of Optometry and is a Regional Trustee for the New York State Optometric Association.
Dr. Compton has served as Past Chair for the American Optometric Association’s Contact Lens and Cornea Section and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He is a graduate of the SUNY State College of Optometry and completed his residency at the Wilmington Delaware VA Medical Center.
Janelle Davison, OD, is an award-winning optometrist and industry consultant, with nearly two decades of clinical experience. She is the owner and CEO of Brilliant Eyes Vision Center and the owner and clinical director of Visionary Dry Eye Institute, referral, and co-management center in Cobb County, Georgia.
Dr. Davison is also the Chief Visionary Officer at Paradeyem Software, a web-based retail optical solution, and the cofounder of S.C.O.R.E., Inc., a nonprofit organization that works to provide tools, skills, and guidance in education, careers, and life of young women of color interest in health care. She is a graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
Sabrina Gaan, OD, owns Eyes on Plainville in Plainville, Mass., a continuously growing, two- doctor practice. In addition to being an advocate of soft contact lens wear, she has a particular interest in orthokeratology and dry eye therapies. She is an industry speaker and consultant for dry eye and private practice advancement.
Dr. Gaan earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from San Jose State University and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry.
Lisa Hornick, OD, MBA, FAAO has more than 20 years of clinical experience and practices full-scope optometry at Stanford Ranch Optometry in Rocklin, Calif. She is therapeutics and glaucoma-certified and is particularly passionate about treating ocular surface and dry eye disease. She has published and lectured widely on dry eye disease, nutrition and glaucoma.
She is an advocate for women in leadership and a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She serves as president and board member for the Sacramento Valley Optometric Society. Dr. Hornick earned an MBA from University of California, Davis in 2023 with a concentration in entrepreneurship and innovation. She received her doctorate in optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry where she attended on a US Navy scholarship.
Diana Mejia, has worked as an optometric technician with Bellaire Family Eye Care in Bellaire, Texas since 2018, and held numerous positions in the optometry field in the years prior.
She is well-versed in all preliminary and special testing procedures, in addition to contact lens ordering, assisting with in-office procedures, and offering insertion and removal classes for soft, rigid, and specialty contact lenses.
Scott Moscow, OD, is the clinical director of Roswell Eye Clinic in Roswell, Ga., where he focuses on fitting specialty contact lenses and treating eye disease with a certification to perform subcutaneous and subconjunctival injections. He is a lecturer and consultant, focused on vision therapy and primary care billing and coding, as well as a regular contributor to industry publications.
In his spare time, Dr. Moscow volunteers as a helicopter pilot with the Angel Flight organization, which transports patients who are financially distressed or in time-critical situations due to their medical condition. He is a graduate of the Southern College of Optometry.
Shalu Pal, OD, FAAO, FSLS, FBCLA, FIAOMC, runs Dr. Shalu Pal & Associates, a six-optometrist group practice in Toronto, Ontario. She lectures, consults, and is widely published in contact lenses, myopia management, dry eye, ocular aesthetics, communications, and practice management. Dr. Pal is the co-editor of Mastering Myopia, past chair of the AOA-CLCS, and co-founder of the Canadian Contact Lens Academy, as well as the co-founder of the Staple Program contact lens workshops for North American schools of optometry.
An international and local volunteer for a range of organizations, she has been honored with the CLCS Achievement Award for her industry education contributions and the American Optometric Association Legends Award. Dr. Pal attended the Southern California College of Optometry, completed her Contact Lens, Cornea, and Disease Residency at Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry, and is a graduate of the Global Healthcare Executive Education Program at Harvard Medical School.
Ashley O’Dwyer, OD, has a passion for helping people who do not have easy access to eye care. She is chief optometric officer at Bay Mills Health Center in Brimley, Mich., and co-owns the Alaska-based traveling eye clinic, The Eye Guys. She also helped start an Indian Health Service (IHS) clinic for the Bay Mills Indian Community. Dr. O’Dwyer educating her patients on preventative care, proper contact lens hygiene and different contact lens modalities to ensure continued eye health and clear vision.
She is an active member in the American Optometric Association and Michigan Optometric Association. She is also a certified revelation breathwork facilitator and teaches yoga as a nervous system regulator. Dr. O’Dwyer earned her optometry degree from Indiana University.
Adam Ramsey, OD, was born and raised on Trinidad & Tobago, where he dreamed of becoming a doctor and helping change lives through vision. Today, he is a board-certified optometrist and internationally known and respected published author, speaker consultant, researcher, and advisor. He founded and operates Socialite Vision in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. where going above and beyond for patients is at the core of the experience—and exceeding expectations is the standard.
Dr. Ramsey has made it his mission to help with the issue of diversity and inclusion in the eye care space. In 2019, he co-founded Black Eyecare Perspective, a nonprofit organization designed to cultivate lifelong relationships between African Americans and the eye care industry. In May 2022, Dr. Ramsey was awarded the New England College of Optometry Presidential Medal for this work. He is a graduate of the Southern College of Optometry.
Noha Seif, OD, FAAO, FSLS, is a medical contact lens specialist and the owner of the Contact Lens Institute of Seattle, an office dedicated to helping this patient population achieve the best vision possible. She is a fellow of the Scleral Lens Education Society and the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Seif is also certified as a clinical investigator and conducts clinical trials in her office to further advance contact lens research.
A graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry, she completed a fellowship in medical contact lenses at the Casey Eye Institute in Portland, Ore., where she was trained to fit highly irregular corneas and manage difficult eye conditions.
