Collectively and individually, they raise awareness regarding contact lens health and safety by promoting best practices tools, tips and research through CLI’s The EASY Way program and See Tomorrow initiative. The program begin in 2021.
Shelby Brogdon, OD, practices in Little Rock, Arkansas, where she provides comprehensive eye care including routine cases, ocular disease, and perioperative services. Dr. Brogdon loves seeing patients of all ages and is very passionate about her specialty clinic in ocular surface disease. She is a member of the Arkansas Optometric Association and American Optometric Association, where she completed the AOA Leadership Institute 1.0 in 2024. She has been named the Arkansas Democrat Gazette Best of the Best Optometrist the last four years and to AY Magazine’s Best Women in Healthcare list.
Dr. Brogdon earned her Doctor of Optometry Degree from the University of the Incarnate Word, Rosenberg School of Optometry.
Jason E. Compton, OD, FAAO, is a distinguished optometrist with expertise in clinical practice, academic instruction, and entrepreneurial initiatives. In addition to his responsibilities at Compton Eye Associates in the New York City area, Dr. Compton serves as adjunct faculty at SUNY State College of Optometry and is a Regional Trustee for the New York State Optometric Association.
Dr. Compton has served as Past Chair for the American Optometric Association’s Contact Lens and Cornea Section and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He is a graduate of the SUNY State College of Optometry and completed his residency at the Wilmington Delaware VA Medical Center.
Ryan Corte, OD, is the co-owner of Northlake Eye, a four-location LensCrafters sublease practice serving patients in Charlotte and Asheville, N.C. Specializing in contact lens care, Dr. Corte and his team are dedicated to providing the latest advancements in contact lens technology to patients of all ages. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Corte is an optometric speaker, consultant, and key opinion leader. He’s also the host of the Ryan Reflects with Dr. Ryan Corte podcast, designed to empower students, new graduates, and seasoned optometrists to uncover their true potential and achieve lasting, fulfilling success. Outside of work, Dr. Corte enjoys staying active through fitness and sports, as well as spending quality time with his wife, children, family, and friends.
Melanie Frogozo, OD, FSLS, FAAO, Dipl AAO practices at Alamo Eye Care in San Antonio, Texas. She specializes in the treatment and management of anterior segment disease using medically necessary contact lenses. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Houston College of Optometry. She completed her residency in Cornea and Contact Lenses at the University of Houston, followed by a faculty position at the University of Iowa. Dr. Frogozo has interest and expertise is managing complex contact lens cases such as keratoconus, corneal transplant, ocular surface disease, and infantile aphakia. Additional professional interests include pediatric contact lenses, dry eye syndrome, and custom scleral contact lens design. She also enjoys fitting lenses for myopia management such as orthokeratology and presbyopia.. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and actively contributes to the field through teaching, research, and publications.
Lisa Hornick, OD, FAAO, currently practices full-scope optometry at Stanford Ranch Optometry in Rocklin, Calif.
With more than 20 years of clinical experience, she is therapeutics- and glaucoma-certified, a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, and president-elect of the Sacramento Valley Optometric Association.
Dr. Hornick has lectured on dry eye disease across the U.S. and Canada, and has published on dry eye disease, nutrition and glaucoma. She received her doctorate in optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry.
Scott Moscow, OD, is the clinical director of Roswell Eye Clinic in Roswell, Ga., where he focuses on fitting specialty contact lenses and treating eye disease with a certification to perform subcutaneous and subconjunctival injections. He is a lecturer and consultant focused on billing and coding as well as a regular contributor to industry publications.
In his spare time, Dr. Moscow volunteers as a helicopter pilot. He is a graduate of the Southern College of Optometry.
Shalu Pal, OD, FAAO, FSLS, FBCLA, FIAOMC, runs Dr. Shalu Pal & Associates, a six-optometrist group practice in Toronto, Ontario. She lectures, consults, and is widely published in contact lenses, myopia management, dry eye, ocular aesthetics, communications, and practice management. Dr. Pal is the co-editor of Mastering Myopia, past chair of the AOA-CLCS, and co-founder of the Canadian Contact Lens Academy, as well as the co-founder of the Staple Program contact lens workshops for North American schools of optometry.
An international and local volunteer for a range of organizations, she has been honored with the CLCS Achievement Award for her industry education contributions and the American Optometric Association Legends Award. Dr. Pal attended the Southern California College of Optometry, completed her Contact Lens, Cornea, and Disease Residency at Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry, and is a graduate of the Global Healthcare Executive Education Program at Harvard Medical School.
Nishan Pressley, OD, is an optometrist, educator, and influencer at Essential Eyecare & Optical in Apopka, Fla. She made history as the first African-American graduate of the Accelerated Scholars Optometry program at The Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. Known for her patient-centered approach, Dr. Pressley specializes in primary eye care, dry eye management, specialty lenses, and glaucoma care.
In addition to her clinical work, she is an influential speaker and content creator, using social media to educate and inspire others on eye health and healthcare representation. Her efforts have earned her recognition as a leading figure in optometry and a role model for aspiring healthcare professionals.
Adam Ramsey, OD, was born and raised on Trinidad & Tobago, where he dreamed of becoming a doctor and helping change lives through vision. Today, he is a board-certified optometrist and internationally known and respected published author, speaker consultant, researcher, and advisor. He founded and operates Socialite Vision in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. where going above and beyond for patients is at the core of the experience—and exceeding expectations is the standard.
Dr. Ramsey has made it his mission to help with the issue of diversity and inclusion in the eye care space. In 2019, he co-founded Black Eyecare Perspective, a nonprofit organization designed to cultivate lifelong relationships between African Americans and the eye care industry. In May 2022, Dr. Ramsey was awarded the New England College of Optometry Presidential Medal for this work. He is a graduate of the Southern College of Optometry.
Harbir Sian, OD, is the co-owner of two optometric practices in British Columbia. In the clinic, Dr. Sian enjoys practicing various specialties within eyecare including myopia management and dry eye. After completing his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in 2010, Dr. Sian found that he was passionate about giving back to those who have less access to care and about educating the public and professionals in various settings.
Over the years, Harbir has volunteered in multiple mobile vision clinics, including global clinics South America and in the Middle East. He has taken his passion for education to countless stages and conferences around North America, including giving a TEDx talk titled “Our Eyes Are the Windows to Our Soul”, which shared the magic and power of the human visual system. Harbir is also the host of Canada’s number one optometry podcast, The 20/20 Podcast, which showcases successful guests from various industries and backgrounds.
Shauna Thornhill, OD, is a primary care optometrist in Amarillo, Texas, where she owns Amarillo Vision Specialists.
Dr. Thornhill graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2007. In 2006, she won the American Optometric Associations Contact Lens and Cornea Section Student Research Award, and she is a CooperVision 2017 Best Practices Award winner.
She is a board member for Snack Pak 4 Kids, serves as a community board member, and volunteers for the Laura W. Bush Institute of Women’s Health. Dr. Thornhill’s proudest achievement is her annual “Sight Before Christmas Free Eye Exam/Toy Drive Day” which has operated for more than a decade.
Christopher Wolfe, OD, FAAO, Dipl. ABO, practices at Exclusively Eyecare in Omaha, Neb. He graduated from Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry and completed a rotation at BVA Advanced Eyecare in Tulsa, gaining training in surgical techniques and therapeutic laser surgery.
Dr. Wolfe has received numerous awards, including Young Optometrist of the Year from the American Optometric Association and Optometrist of the Year from the Nebraska Optometric Association. He co-founded KMK Board Certification Review Services, EyeCode Education and Practice Performance Partners, and has authored companion optometry resources.
He has special interests in therapeutic scleral contact lenses to correct visual distortions in patients with corneal diseases.
